Q: I would like a website. Where do I start? What do I need?

First, you need to contact us about the type of website you would like. You can do so using our contact form, or you can telephone or email us. Based on your needs and the other materials (text & graphic images) you have that you would like to be included on your site, we will put together a preliminary site organization plan for you to approve.

Q: How much does Viva Web Design charge for re-designing a website?

This depends on the degree to which the original site is to be changed. When we evaluate it, we will take into consideration, for example, how many pages and images the web site contains, and whether minor improvements or major changes are requested.

Q: How long does it take to finish a web site?

This depends on the complexity of the website design and also on the client. In particular, the client is expected to supply the text and images required to build the site and, when these are not provided in a timely manner, this can cause delays and, potentially, extra charges.

Q: What is the payment schedule?

An initial payment of 50% of the total cost is required as a deposit after your approve the preliminary site organization, and the balance is due when the project is completed.

Q: Should I be aware of situations in which extra fees will be charged?

  • An additional fee is charged if the client wants the site re-designed again after it has been approved by both parties.
  • An additional fee is charged if the client fails to provide material needed to begin developing the web site.
  • An additional fee is charged if exceptionally time-consuming tasks are required to create web content.
  • An additional fee is charged if the client wants to add extra pages and images after the site is completed.

Q: After my website has been launched, how can I maintain and update it?

You can choose to take control updates yourself if you feel comfortable doing your own web programming. Note, however, that Viva Web Design is not responsible if you change code required for the website to function properly. Another option is to delegate responsibility for site maintenance and site updates to us. A third option is to make minor changes and updates yourself using Macromedia Contribute 3.0. This software enables you to update and add content to your site without knowing html, while delegating responsiblity for major site changes to us.
